Bazzi’s decision to name his debut album Cosmic probably has something to do with his fixation on space.
Bazzi was brought up in Dearborn, Michigan, a town with a thriving Middle Eastern population. As such, embracing his heritage is very important to him.
He wants to use his newfound fame to support his community and culture and he’s less than stoked about Trump and his stance on immigration.
At the tender age of 4, Bazzi’s father gave him an Oud – A pear-shaped string instrument, popular in Lebanon.
He was strumming on the guitar in Year 2 (First Grade). Then he’d picked up drums, bass AND piano by the time he was ten.
