Chauth Ka Barwara is a town situated in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan, it is famous by the name of South Mata temple which is situated on the Aravalli mountain range and it is situated at a height of 1100 feet and it has 1000 sidiyas through which people can see the mother. Let us tell you that if we talk about the temple situated near the Banas river, then this whole temple is made of marble and it is a very ancient temple.

A huge fair is held in this temple on the day of Karva Chauth, people come from far and wide to visit here, tell you that the place of debate around this temple is very beautiful, as well as here you will also see ponds where you can also do boating. And talking about the history of Chauth Ka Barwara, this temple was built by Maharaja Bhimsingh Chauhan and it was earlier known only as Barwara, after the Manjar temple was built, it is now known as South Ka Barwara

History Of Chauth Ka Barwara

Talking about the history of Chauth Ka Barwara temple, earlier there used to be a forest where Choru village used to live, where tribals used to worship in the name of Choru Mata of South Mata, but one day the statue disappears automatically, after which this statue is the king. Bhima starts coming in Singh’s dreams and one day he dreams that he is going to do Sikar, after which he decides that he will go hunting in the morning, when he starts going for hunting, Rani Ratnavali stops him. But Bhim Singh says that once Chauhan imitates hunting, he returns only after hunting and he goes to the forest with his soldiers.

After which they see a deer, but even after a lot of chasing, that deer do not come to their hands, it becomes night and all the soldiers go astray because of the darkness, then the king follows the prey by guessing with the voice but later He feels thirsty and becomes unconscious if he does not get water, after which the idol of Chauth Mata comes in his dreams and it rains heavily, due to which the king regains consciousness.

The king sees that there is water all around him and he takes his thirsty arm, after which he sees a girl who is shining like a light even in the night, the king asks her who she is and she says that Who am I to leave this, tell me whether your thirst is quenched or not, after which the mother comes in her real form, then the king falls at her feet and says that I do not want anything, just stay with us always, after which the mother used to say that and leaves her statue and disappears from there. After which the king tells Chauth Ka Barwara to his people and later he keeps Chauth Ka Barwara on a high mountain and starts worshiping it, since then to date it is worshiped in the name of Chauth Mata.
